THE BASE is situated in Almyrida, a small town near Kalyves and Plaka, both touristic hotspots. The airport of Chania is only 40 minutes away, and Rethymno is about one hour by car. We called our accommodation unit THE BASE, as it is exactly what we offer: A base for those who want to explore the island. We have put lots of efforts and love into details which will make your stay unique. Our goal is to make you feel homey at an affordable base.
We have designed our price structure to allow families or couples to have a cosy base and embark relaxed on their trip to explore the island. We offer (also) direct booking, enabling us to forward cost savings to our guests. Bottom line: You get lots of value for your money.
Starting 2025, we have modified our price structure in a way that you can enjoy THE BASE even as a smaller group, or as a couple. In the off season, we are now charging per person and this allows also smaller groups to enjoy THE BASE. Groups up to 4 people may use the basement and upper floor, this way we save maintenance costs for one floor and forward the savings on to you!
We had a great stay at THE BASE, the apartment is exactly as described and seen on the pictures, very clean and the host was wonderful and always available. Very fair deal, we will definitely book again!
Es war eine unvergessliche Erfahrung. Man bekommt wirklich viel für sein Geld, das Apartment ist frisch renoviert und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Viele Details, die man nicht überall findet. Wir waren positiv überrascht und hatten eine tolle Zeit auf Kreta!
Βρεθήκαμε τυχαία στο κατάλυμα και ήταν πραγματικά μεγάλη τύχη! Πάρα πολύ άνετο για την μεγαλούτσικη παρέα μας (πέντε άτομα εκ των οποίων δύο παιδιά).
